The report discusses anomalies in the way candidates were chosen for the APSC's 2013 and 2014 Combined Competitive Examinations.

Digital Desk: The state government filed an affidavit with the Gauhati High Court on Wednesday, detailing the steps it has taken in response to the Justice (Retd.) BK Sharma Judicial Commission's reports on the cash-for-job scheme at the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC). The report discusses anomalies in the way candidates were chosen for the APSC's 2013 and 2014 Combined Competitive Examinations.

Based on the report by the BK Sharma Commission, the affidavit states that departmental actions were started against 42 officers who committed errors, and five officers have been placed under custody and twenty-five have been suspended. In an attempt to have the report act upon its findings and make it public, a public interest lawsuit (PIL 45/2023) was submitted to the High Court.
