Guwahati: The government of Assam will be filling up over 24,000 posts-old under the education department this year. The employment recruitment process will begin on September 1.
Assam will initiate a 'major' recruitment drive in the Education department, including jobs in Bodo, Garo, Hindi mediums, etc.
As per the job data, there are a total of 22,921 openings. In addition, there are 10,000 jobs in primary education, including 12,921 in secondary education. By 2021, all these positions will be filled by the government of Assam.
The Special Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) will fill up 1,464 jobs reserved for ST (Hills). The recruitment in Bodo, Garo, and Manipuri medium institutions will also be filled in Assam.
The government further directed the education department to fill up 22,921 approved posts-old from September 1.
