Digital Desk: A great news from the Assam government as they will pay a total of Rs 25,000 to all Bihu competitors who took part in the Bihu World Record on June 28 and 29 in every district of the state. 

It is to be mentioned that a total of 11,304 Bihu dancers and 2,548 drummers who took part in the historic event at Guwahati's Sarusajai Stadium on April 14 will get a cash prize of 25,000 on June 28 and 29.

Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah stated that "Those who were present in Sarusajai Stadium to participate in the Bihu Guinness World Record will receive the promised sum of Rs 25,000. In addition, they will receive a digital certificate." 

Furthermore, Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah declared that participants who refrained and stayed in the district after Bihu practice will each receive Rs 10,000 as a reward.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also stated that "The cabinet ministers will travel to the districts to award cash prizes to the artists. I will also personally visit at least five areas to congratulate the performance."

Furthermore, CM Himanta also mentioned that "Assam's Bihu performance was praised globally this time. I have received many greetings, not only from different corners of the country but also from abroad."
