The Assam Government has assigned ACS officer Hemashree Hazarika the responsibility for overseeing the SHe Box initiative.
Hemashree Hazarika, who also serves as Additional Secretary of the Revenue Department, has been given the additional charge of managing SHe Box operations.
The SHe Box initiative has been introduced to address workplace harassment faced by female employees.
The system allows victims to file complaints in the Sexual Harassment Electronic Box, commonly known as SHe Box, without disclosing their identity publicly.
The Central Government mandates the implementation of SHe Box in all departments to ensure a safer working environment.
Previously, SHe Box was not accessible in Assam Government departments.
However, following a recent incident at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), the administration was prompted to ensure the availability of SHe Box in all state departments.
