Based on specific inputs, the CID team looking into the issue detained three people, including two teachers and a driver.

Digital Desk: The two teachers who were charged by the police in connection with the HSLC paper leak event in Assam were fired on Tuesday, according to an update on the case.

The Assam Police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) launched an investigation into the situation after the General Science paper of the current HSLC Class 10 examinations in Assam had to be cancelled due to the question paper's leak.

Based on specific inputs, the CID team looking into the issue detained three people, including two teachers and a driver. The two teachers arrested in connection with the paper leak case were identified as Jyotirekha Borgohain and Herambo Kumar Das, while the driver was identified as Bindeshwar Tumung.

They are all Bhauri Devi Sarawgi High School employees. The school's Controller of Exams was Jyotirekha Borgohain. Mamoni Bora of Narakasur High School was assigned to charge of the examination location in the meantime.

The two teachers who were accused have now been fired from their respective positions. Additionally, the Principal of Sabitri Bharali High School in Guwahati, Narahari Barman has been handed the position of Assistant Controller of Exams.

It should be mentioned that Herambo Kumar Das, the other instructor involved in the case, formerly served as the school's assistant controller of exams.

Three suspects in the Assam HSLC paper leak case have already been sent to the custody of the CID police by a court in Guwahati.

The three suspects, who had been held by the CID of the Assam Police in connection with the leak of the HSLC Class 10 General Science question paper, were reportedly given three days in detention by the court.

As part of the investigation into the controversy, the CID will take them into custody and continue questioning them.
