Digital Desk: The winner of the cooking competition MasterChef India has gone popular on social media before the broadcast of the final episode.

A leaked snapshot on social media reveals that Assam boy Nayanjyoti Saikia won the mega cooking reality show. The photo has gone viral, even though the finale is still a few weeks away.

A fan page for the show published a snapshot of Nayanjyoti, donned in the trademark 'MasterChef coat,' holding the trophy and surrounded by crew members seen behind him as they wrapped up the finale shoot.

Supporters of the show praised Nayanjyoti immediately on social media, complimenting his well-deserved victory.

However, the show has recently encountered controversy, with some fans accusing the judges of being biased against particular contestants.

About the young MasterChef- 

Nayanjyoti Saikia aged 26 years hails from Tinsukia, Assam. He is a self-taught chef, and his Instagram account shows his skill full of his culinary creations. 

Nayanjyoti's journey on the show has been a mixed bag, with his performances shifting throughout the competition. 

Renowned Chef Vikas Khanna who found Nayan via Instagram, travelled thousands of kilometres to discover an Assamese home cook and invited him along to feel the journey. Though Nayan's father initially relucted to allow him to study cooking, Nayanjyoti persisted and entered the competition.

MasterChef India 7, which premiered in January, is judged by chefs Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar, and Garima Arora.
