The leopard was injured while being tranquillized, and he will be examined by a doctor...

Digital Desk: After 24 hours of relentless attempts by the forest department, officers caught the leopard that was terrorising Assam's Jorhat and injured numerous people on Tuesday morning.

Forest officials stated that their search had been ongoing since 10 a.m. yesterday. They were able to calm the leopard and capture him within a quarter of an hour.

The leopard was injured while being tranquillized, and he will be examined by a doctor.

Following a medical examination, the forest department will decide on the leopard.

Meanwhile, the leopard has been transported to the Regional Forest Officer's Office and will subsequently be transported to Kaziranga.

It should be noted that at least 15 people were hurt, including three forest staff, as the leopard unleashed a reign of terror in a nearby neighbourhood on Monday.
