Digital Desk: A father who believed a Class X student in Tinsukia, Assam, to be dating his teenage daughter on Monday tied him up, beat him, and cut off both of his ears.

Based on a FIR that the victim's mother filed, the police have detained the girl's father.

The individual has been accused by the police of violating Indian Penal Code Section 326, which deals with intentionally causing great bodily harm using hazardous weapons.

The youngster allegedly developed a relationship with the accused's young daughter, which the police said he had resisted.

The victim's ears have been sewed back, and his condition is said to be stable.

In Tinsukia's Bordumsa police station, in the village of Simaluguri, the incident occurred.

The accused reportedly discovered the boy and the girl in his home and went into a horrible rage. The suspect beat the youngster, then tied his hands and legs before chopping off his ears.

"When a boy was found trying to steal, the girl's father himself called the police to report the incident. The entire episode was made public when the child was questioned by the police about his wounds. The individual was taken into custody on Monday night, "said Debojit Deuri, a Tinsukia SP.

Following the incident, the neighbourhood became tense, and the boy's family called for justice.
