Digital Desk: A man was allegedly killed after a rhino reportedly attacked him in Assam’s Majuli district on Tuesday. 

The victim has been identified as Padma Bherua. The incident occurred in the state's River Island District in Bhokot Chapori 1no. Padumani. 

The enraged beast allegedly attacked the man early in the morning when he went for a walk outside his house. 

The villagers expressed outrage at the man's death and encircled the forest officials as they arrived at the scene to conduct pertinent inquiries. 

The villagers criticized the forest service in a media interview, accusing them of being careless in the situation. 

Notably, a forest guard at the Bakpara forest camp in the Kohora range of the National Park and Tiger Reserve suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a one-horned rhino while on patrol with an elephant on February 13 (Tuesday) in the Kaziranga National Park.
