Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a man was reportedly arrested by Assam police on charges of raping his minor daughter, impregnating her and forcing her to have an abortion. The incident was reported from the Dima Hasao District of Assam.
Assam police stated that the 45-year-old man had impregnated his minor daughter and forcibly took her to Karimganj to abort the child. Police have also arrested a female health worker who assisted in the abortion of the child.
As per reports, the incident came to light after the victim informed the police last week. Following this the police acted quickly and arrested those involved after a detailed inquiry.
As per reports the accused also confessed his crime. The incident left people shocked and disoriented. The accused has been arrested and it is anticipated that justice will be served.
