Digital Desk: Two youths who were taking a bath in the River Brahmaputra went missing on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident was reported from the Chandrapur area on the outskirts of Guwahati city.

The missing youths have been identified as Vibarmi Lalu and Rahul Chetry, both from Shillong, Meghalaya.

According to the information received, the two arrived in Guwahati with six of their friends and visited Chandrapur this afternoon for recreational purposes. However, they both went missing while taking a bath in the river.

Unable to find them, their friends informed the authorities, who rushed to the spot to look at the situation.

Search operations are now underway.
