A total of 46 leaders joined the Bodo People's Front in an event held under Salbari subdivision of Baksha district...

Digital Desk: It has come to light that a total of 46 leaders joined the Bodo People's Front in a programme held under the Salbari subdivision of Baksha district on December 16, giving a major setback to the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) led by Bodoland Territorial Council (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro and Gana Suraksha Party (GSP). 

Under the initiative of the BPF's Salbari district committee, a meeting was convened at the Govardhana Bodoland Darbar auditorium in Baksa's Salbari subdivision. 46 persons, including UPPL leaders, formally joined the BPF at the party meeting.

The meeting was presided over by BPF's Salbari District Committee In-charge President Khanindra Brahma, and the event was attended by UPPL Central Member Kanak Chandra Boro, Salbari District Committee Organising Secretary Vinod Swargiyari, Jiten Kalita, Treasurer Theron Selaray, Member Bebika Basumatary, and Shalbari Block Committee Organising Secretary Mukunda Das.

The event was joined by BPF central general secretary and former MLA Maneshwar Brahma, former MLA Thaneshwar Basumatary, Youth BPF president and MCLA of Salbari seat Jay Musahari, and several other leaders.
