Digital Desk: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the leader of the Congress, organized a roadshow in support of party candidate Gaurav Gogoi on Tuesday in the Jorhat district of Assam.

The general secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) landed at Jorhat airport this morning and proceeded directly to Titabor, which is a portion of the Jorhat Lok Sabha constituency and the assembly seat of former chief minister Tarun Gogoi.

Taking to X, Vadra stated before starting the roadshow, "The states of the Northeast have their own unique culture and historical heritage. The BJP government has imposed its own rules on this heritage.”

Additionally, she stated, that unemployment and inflation have made people's life more difficult.

"Congress' five-justice guarantees will not only provide relief to the public but will also strengthen the future of the youth and the country," Vadra stated.

Gogoi's primary opponent in Jorhat would be BJP-sitting MP Topon Kumar Gogoi. The first round of voting in Jorhat will begin on April 19.

The roadshow would go about two kilometers inside the town to Titabor Tiniali, stated AICC Communications Coordinator (Assam) Mahima Singh.

She said that Vadra would go to Tripura following the ceremony to conduct a second roadshow in the Tripura West constituency.
