  • The Radhanagar Battalion of Assam Rifles collaborated with the Kailashahar Blood Donors Association to organise a vital blood donation drive in Kailashahar, Tripura, marking World Blood Donor Day

In a significant community outreach effort, the Radhanagar Battalion of the Assam Rifles, in partnership with the Kailashahar Blood Donors Association, recently hosted a successful blood donation camp in Kailashahar, Tripura. The initiative, held at the Bhagat Singh Auditorium, coincided with World Blood Donor Day, drawing enthusiastic participation from both local residents and military personnel.

The primary objective of the camp was to elevate public understanding regarding the critical importance of voluntary blood donation and to actively encourage broader community involvement in this life-saving endeavour. Organisers highlighted that such contributions are indispensable for maintaining adequate blood supplies in medical facilities, especially in remote areas of the Northeast.

Megha Jain, the District Magistrate of Unakoti District, visited the camp to observe the proceedings and interact with the donors. She lauded their selfless commitment, acknowledging the profound societal impact of their voluntary contributions. Her presence underscored the significance of collaborative efforts between civil administration and security forces for public welfare.

Events like this blood donation drive serve to strengthen the bond between the Assam Rifles and the civilian population, reinforcing the force's broader commitment to community service and fostering robust civil-military relations across the region. Such initiatives are crucial for holistic development and mutual trust in the sensitive border states of Northeast India.
