Digital Desk: In an ongoing war against drugs, Assam Rifles intercepted a significant drug haul in Tripura, seizing 434 kgs of Marijuana worth Rs 1.736 crores on Wednesday.

The operation took place in the General Area Churaibari, under the jurisdiction of Churaibari Police Station of North Tripura District.

Based on credible information, the operation was initiated and Assam Rifles and Churaibari Police Station cooperated together on it. 

The drugs were found in hidden compartments of a truck that the arrested drug dealer was driving. The suspect and the drugs that were recovered have been turned over to Churaibari Police Station for additional investigation and possible legal action.
