Due to the ongoing rise in mercury levels and the scorching temperatures, the notification states that the timings have been changed in the interest of public well-being.

Digital Desk: An official statement from the District Elementary Education officer said on Saturday that due to the rising temperatures, the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro has issued an order and rescheduled the timing of classes for all educational institutions to 7.30 am with immediate effect.

Due to the ongoing rise in mercury levels and the scorching temperatures, the notification states that the timings have been changed in the interest of public well-being.

Schools are also instructed to conduct the morning assembly inside the classroom or shaded area. This order comes into force with immediate effect and shall remain remaining in force until 15th Aug 2023.

The timings of the schools will be as follows:

 L.P Schools – 7.30 am to 12 noon
 M.E Schools- 7.30 am to 12.30 pm
 HS/HS Schools- 7.30 am to 1 pm
