Digital Desk : The sleuths of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption cell had apprehended senior assistant Seema Devi, working with the Department of Welfare of Plain Tribes and Backward classes, while accepting bribe in Assam Secretariat.
The government employee was caught red-handed while accepting bribe money of Rs 4,000. The anti-corruption team also found an additional Rs 99,000 from her bag during the search operation.
The investigating team also arrested one fourth grade employee working with WPT&BC, identified as Robin Thapa.

Preliminary investigation reported that Robin Thapa was involved in the bribe case along with the senior assistant Seema Devi.
Both Seema Devi and Robin Thapa will be produced at the court. Robin Thapa has been taken away by the police for his medical examination after which he will be produced at the court.
Anti-Corruption sleuths have suspected of more people involved in the bribe case.
