Digital Desk: In a distressing incident, a student took her own life allegedly by consuming pesticides after failing to pass the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination.

Despite being taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, the deceased, Barsha Sarkar (16), of Moirajhar in Salbari under Baksa district, succumbed to the poison. 

After the horrible death, an awful atmosphere descended upon the area, casting a pall of doom over her home and the entire community. 

The tragic incident serves as a sobering reminder of the severe pressure and difficulties that students face throughout the exam period.
