Digital Desk: In a tragic incident, the bodies of a 13-year-old girl and a minor boy were found hanging from a tree in a village near Silchar under Assam’s Cachar district.
The authorities suspect it to be a suicide case, potentially linked to a love affair between the two individuals. Preliminary investigations revealed that both were from the same locality.
The two had not been seen since Thursday night, according to local reports, despite the family members' reluctance to provide any information.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Cachar district, Sheetal Kumar confirmed that the bodies have been transferred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for postmortem examination.
Notably, both of them belonged to the same religious community, ruling out the possibility of an inter-religious affair, as reported by the locals.
