Assam University, Silchar, has announced a significant opportunity for research professionals, inviting applications for the position of Project Technical Assistant within its Department of Pharmaceutical Science. This recruitment drive aims to fill one crucial post for a project focused on community empowerment in the Cachar district.

The selected candidate will contribute to an important initiative titled “Empowerment of Schedule Cast Community through Innovative Herbal Technologies in Borjalenga Block of Cachar District, Assam.” This project is financially supported by DST-SEED, a Government of India undertaking, highlighting its national importance and commitment to regional development through scientific innovation.

Applicants must hold an M.Pharm or M.S.(Pharm.) degree in any specialization. While these are essential qualifications, candidates with prior experience in agro-biopharmaceutical formulation development, characterization, and its application in the agricultural field for industrial scale-up will be given preference. This emphasis underscores the practical and translational nature of the research.

The position offers a monthly fellowship of Rs. 20,000, along with an additional 10% House Rent Allowance (HRA). The age limit for applicants will adhere to prevailing government norms.
