Digital Desk: The Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankar, will be the chief guest at the third convocation of the Assam Royal Global University in Guwahati on Monday.


The convocation ceremony is taking place on the University campus in Betkuchi, Guwahati, and will be presided over by the University's Visitor, Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria.


Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's presence will be there, as will the Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu.


On this occasion, 1197 students will get degrees and diplomas. Position holders of various programmes will also receive 42 gold medals and 45 silver medals.


Students will be awarded Chancellor's Gold awards for their overall performance at the University, including excellent academic and co-curricular achievements. 


Four Salvers will be given to students who have excelled in extracurricular activities.


The selected students will also receive the Gini Devi Pansari Award for Excellence in Literary Activities, the Sanwarmal Modi Award for Excellence in Cultural Activity, the Basudeo Pansari Award for Excellence in Community Service, the Suresh Kumar Prithani Award for Excellence in Mentoring, and the Hemant Kumar Lohia Award for Excellence in Sports.
