Digital Desk: A 36 years old woman from Assam was arrested in Bengaluru on Sunday for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend during a heated argument.
The woman identified as Junti Das and her boyfriend, Jogesh (35), got into a heated argument. Jogesh was stabbed by Jinti in a fit of rage, leaving him with profuse bleeding. When the neighbours took Jogesh to St. John's Hospital, the staff there confirmed that the man was in critical condition. Both Jogesh and Junti hail from Assam.
According to reports, Junti Das divorced her husband three years ago and moved in with her 16-year-old daughter Jigani. In 2021, she was employed at a childcare centre and met Jogesh. Later, the duo spent two years dating each other.
Moreover, the couple started fighting frequently, with Junti accusing Jogesh of neglecting her while he started dating other women.
Following the incident, Junti attempted to flee to Assam but was apprehended by police from her relatives’ house in Wilson Garden.
