Digital Desk: Making the state proud, Assam's Riyan Parag turned in a stupendous all-round throughout the Deodhar Trophy as he smashes 354 runs (highest in the tournament) from five innings at an average of 88.50 and a jaw-dropping strike rate of 136.67.

The 21-year-old cricketer hits two centuries in the tournament and owing to his amazing performance he was declared ‘Player of the Tournament’. 

While he topped the run-scorers chart, he also snared 11 wickets with his off-spin, including consecutive match hauls of 4/30 and 4/57 to start the tournament.

Unfortunately, it went in vain as South Zone prevailed by 45 runs to lift the title. South Zone scored 328/8 while East Zone was all out for 283 in 46.1 overs.
