According to the Managing Director, although Kakati responded to the show cause notice on July 8, it was deemed unsatisfactory, and as a result, he was suspended with immediate effect pending departmental proceedings.

Digital Desk: Rajendra Kakati, a Divisional Accounts Officer at the ASTC headquarters, has been suspended for deceiving the Transport Minister during the latter's visit.

The Managing Director of ASTC, Rahul Chandra Das, stated in an order issued to this effect here on Wednesday that Divisional Accounts Officer Kakati had received a show cause notice for deceiving Transport Minister Parimal Suklabaidya during the latter's visit to ASTC's Paltan Bazaar headquarters on July 6 of last year.

According to the Managing Director, although Kakati responded to the show cause notice on July 8, it was deemed unsatisfactory, and as a result, he was suspended with immediate effect pending departmental proceedings.

The order additionally noted that Kakati would not be eligible to receive any benefits, with the exception of the subsistence allowance allowed by the applicable rules, during the term of suspension.
