Manipur’s Solimla Jajo wins silver at Asian bodybuilding championship in Maldives

The competition included a total of 28 players from various regions of the nation.

Digital Desk: Solimla Jajo from Manipur’s Kamjong district won a silver medal at the 54th Asian Body Building and Physique Sports Championships 2022, held at Maafushi Island in the Maldives.

The 17-year-old is the first woman from the Tangkhul community to win a medal for bodybuilding. She competed in the junior model physique in the 165 cm category.

The competition included a total of 28 players from various regions of the nation.

Notably, Mungunshagai, a Mongolian, took first place, followed by Solimla and Bhawika, who finished in second and third place, respectively.

Solimla secured first place in the Senior Women Model Physique Category in Uttar Pradesh in 2019 and won the Miss Manipur Women's Sports Physique competition.
