Earlier, Hardik Pandya (71 not out) and KL Rahul (55) hit half-centuries to help India reach 208/6 in 20 overs after Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and chose to bat first. India's playing XI did not include Jasprit Bumrah or Rishabh Pant.

 

India defeated Australia by a score of 208/6 in 20 overs (Hardik Pandya 71 not out, KL Rahul 55; Nathan Elis 3/30, Josh Hazlewood 2/39).
