While Smriti Irani lost the Amethi seat to Kishori Lal, the Congress candidate, Rahul Gandhi won Raebareli.

Digital Desk: The BJP's Lallu Singh was defeated in the Lok Sabha seat of Faizabad, which includes Ayodhya and saw the opening of a magnificent Ram Temple earlier this year.

Three-time MP Singh from Faizabad was up against Awadesh Prasad, a candidate for the SP. 

The 2019 Lok Sabha election saw the BJP win over 60 seats in Uttar Pradesh, where the INDIA bloc made significant gains. In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP continued to lead by more than 40 seats, while the opposition alliance is ahead in 39 seats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi won in Varanasi, one of the constituencies whose results have already been announced.
