India has already withdrawn transshipment facilities that were previously extended to Bangladesh.

Digital Desk: A legal notice has been to  the Bangladesh government to terminate all transit and transshipment facilities granted to India. On Thursday,  Supreme Court lawyer Mohammad Azizul Haque addressed it to the Secretaries of the Foreign Affairs and Finance Ministries.

Advocate Haque emphasized that if the High Court fails to revoke does not end discriminatory agreements with India, a writ petition will be filed in the higher court seeking judicial intervention.

Moreover, he also pointed out that  India has already withdrawn transshipment facilities formerly accessible to Bangladesh,  creating a clear imbalance in bilateral agreements. Haque stated that the people of Bangladesh now expect their government to respond by similarly withdrawing the facilities granted to India. So now, the people of Bangladesh want the government to cancel all similar benefits given to India.

The notice signals  public discontent with current arrangements and put pressure on authorities to evaluate Bangladesh's strategic decisions in response to India's policy modifications.
