It is to be noted that earlier at least four alleged Bangladeshi nationals were detained on July 30 by locals in Cachar, Assam.

Digital Desk: A Bangladeshi national  was taken into custody at the Kamakhya Railway Junction on Tuesday in Guwahati.

The person identified as Qasim Ahmed allegedly entered India using false documents.

In response to a tip, the Guwahati Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) raided the Brahmaputra Mail Train and apprehended Qasim Ahmed without any identification.

He was immediately turned over to the Assam police for additional inquiry by the authorities.

It is to be noted that earlier at least four alleged Bangladeshi nationals were detained on July 30 by locals in Cachar, Assam.

Moreover, reports claimed that the incident took place at Gumrah village in the Cachar district of Assam. They were detained from Gumrah marketplace by the Village Defence Organization (VDO).
