Digital Desk: Basistha Police has successfully arrested two notorious thieves following a targeted operation.


The suspects, identified as Enamul Ali of Hatigaon and Partha Pratim Medhi (alias Bihari) of Katahbari, were caught in possession of three stolen scooters and a sum of cash.


Investigations revealed that the duo had stolen two scooters from Dispur area and one from Paltan Bazar.


Furthermore, they were linked to a snatching incident on April 23 in Lokhra, where they allegedly stole a bag containing Rs 2,500 from a woman.


Notably, the thieves used the stolen scooters to carry out crimes in different parts of the city, significantly contributing to an atmosphere of fear.


The arrests followed an extensive search operation.


Both individuals are currently in custody as police continue their investigation to uncover further criminal links.
