India has chosen seven batters, four bowlers, and four all-rounders for the ODI World Cup.

Digital Desk: India, who will be hosting the upcoming ODI World Cup in 2023, on Tuesday announced their 15-member squad. BCCI Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar made the team announcement. Rohit Sharma with lead the team with Hardik Pandya as the vice-captain. 

The team consists of Rohit Sharma (captain), Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Axar Patel, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav.

India has chosen seven batters, four bowlers, and four all-rounders for the ODI World Cup as it turned out.

As a result, Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, and R Ashwin are all out of the team. Also, Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna, who are now in Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup 2023 not included in the World Cup squad.

Speaking to the press conference, Sharma said the starting lineup for the day would be determined by the players current form and the challenge posed by the opposition team.

"Keep your chin up, and be prepared for the next opportunity," he told the players whose names were not on the list.
