Along with other administrative problems, there have been charges of improper behaviour during the Bihar Cricket Association elections.


Digital Desk: Devajit Saikia, the newly-elected Joint Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), was selected as the observer for the Bihar Cricket Association on Monday (BCA).


The BCCI announced on Monday the appointments of Mr. Ashish Shelar, Honorary Treasurer of BCCI, as an observer for the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, and Mr. Devajit Saikia, Joint Secretary, BCCI, as an observer for the Bihar Cricket Association, according to a statement from BCCI Secretary Jay Shah.


Along with other administrative problems, there have been charges of improper behaviour during the Bihar Cricket Association elections.


Additionally, there have been allegations of massive corruption in the process of choosing the age group teams. Saikia has been chosen to oversee the proceedings as a result.


It should be mentioned that Devajit Saikia, the former secretary of the Assam Cricket Association, was chosen on October 18 to serve as the joint secretary of the BCCI following elections at the organization's annual general meeting.
