Digital Desk: Meta, Facebook's parent company, has confirmed that four information fields will be removed from profiles beginning December 1st.

Facebook profiles will no longer include addresses, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or the "interested in" field, which indicates an account's sexual orientation, beginning next month.

"We are removing a handful of profile fields: Interested In, Religious Views, Political Views, and Address as part of our efforts to make Facebook easier to navigate and use," a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement shared with TechCrunch.

"We are sending notifications to people who have filled out these fields, informing them that they will be removed." This change has no effect on anyone's ability to share this information about themselves on Facebook in the future."
