From 2022-to 23 academic years, the Bhagavad Gita will be part of the Gujarati school curriculum for pupils in grades 6 to 12.

Digital Desk: From the academic year 2022-23, the Bhagavad Gita will be part of the Gujarati school curriculum for pupils in grades 6 to 12. Gujarat education minister Jitu Vaghani revealed this in the legislative Assembly during a discussion on the education department's budgetary allotment. According to Vaghani, the goal is to include the Bhagavad Gita's ideals and ideas into the educational curriculum. According to the minister, the decision was made following the Centre's New Education Policy, which advocates promoting current and ancient culture, customs, and knowledge systems so that students are proud of India's rich and diverse culture. According to a news release, the scripture will be introduced in the textbook of 'Sarvangi Shikshan,' or holistic education, for pupils in Classes 6 to 8. According to the statement, it will be introduced in the form of storytelling in the first language textbook in Classes 9 to 12. Based on the text, schools will organize prayers, shloka recitation, understanding, theater, quizzes, art, and elocution competitions. The government would give schools study resources such as books and audio-video CDs. Also Read: Using Covishield as a booster after 2 doses of Covaxin boosts antibodies by six times: Study
