The AAP leader claimed that the BJP has taken drastic steps to attack his party because it was terrified of losing both the highly watched municipal elections in Delhi and Gujarat.

Digital Desk: The chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal alleged on Saturday that the BJP had offered him a "deal to spare" Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, two of his ministers who are under investigation by federal authorities, if the Aam Aadmi Party withdrew from the Gujarat elections later this month.

In an interview with NDTV, Kejriwal stated, "They have approached me now after Manish Sisodia rejected their offer to be Delhi Chief Minister by leaving AAP. They have said if you leave Gujarat and don't contest there, we will spare both Satyendar Jain and Sisodia and drop all charges against them."

When asked who made the offer Kejriwal responded, "How can I mention one of my own... the offer came from them.. the BJP never makes direct approaches. They pass the message from one to another, to another, to another, to a friend, and then the message reaches you."

The AAP leader claimed that the BJP has taken drastic steps to attack his party because it was terrified of losing both the highly watched municipal elections in Delhi and Gujarat.

He claimed that Mr. Jain's case regarding proxy or "hawala" transactions and Mr. Sisodia's case on Delhi's now-repealed booze sales policy were both fabricated.

According to Mr. Kejriwal, the AAP will form Gujarat's next government while the Congress would win fewer than five seats in the assembly's 182 members.

He claimed that the BJP and the Congress were involved in a mutually beneficial relationship and that they were funding the opposition party's candidates to stem the AAP's growth.

He said that the AAP was "already No. 2" in the polls, far behind the Congress, and that it would overtake the BJP in the month weeks before the Gujarat elections.
