Keisham also thanked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for addressing the Manipur issue in Parliament on Monday.

Digital Desk: President of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC),  Keisham Meghachandra, asserted that the N Biren Singh government operates as a 'paper tiger' and implied an unofficial imposition of "president's rule" in the state.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Keisham characterized the N Biren Singh administration as the "weakest" in Manipur's political history. He criticized the government's response to the recent ambush of the Chief Minister's security convoy, citing an inability to manage the situation effectively. According to Keisham, this situation reflects a de facto state of the president's rule, which he described as being "99.9 percent correct," noting that Article 355 has not been formally invoked by the Central government.

"The N Biren Singh government is a paper tiger," Keisham stated. "It stands as the weakest government in Manipur's political annals. The administration, including law and order and other departments, is completely paralyzed. Initially, we waited patiently for two to three months, hoping the government would stabilize and take charge of the ongoing challenges. Now, it has been fourteen months, and we wonder how much longer we must wait," he added.

Keisham also thanked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for addressing the Manipur issue in Parliament on Monday.
