Himanta Biswa Sarma slammed his Bihar counterpart. He claimed that Nitish Kumar had "lost his mental balance"...

Digital Desk: In the middle of the recent controversy over Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's remarks on birth control and women's education, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma slammed his Bihar counterpart.

Himanta reasoned that Nitish Kumar had "lost his mental balance" and was a "threat to the state," and so advocated for his urgent removal from office owing to his disparaging remarks about population control.

"A chief minister who has lost his mental balance is a danger to the state," CM Sarma stated in Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa.

Earlier this week, the "BJP sought Nitish Kumar resign over his insulting remarks about birth control in the Bihar Assembly," During the present Winter Session of the Bihar Assembly, this resulted in tumultuous scenes, with opposition members criticising CM Nitish Kumar's unacceptable remarks.

Under rising criticism, Kumar apologised for his remarks in the assembly, telling reporters, "I apologise, and I take back my words," after BJP MPs barred him from entering the legislative assembly.

The BJP and the chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW) both condemned his remarks and requested that he apologise unconditionally.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav defended Nitish Kumar, claiming that the Chief Minister's statements were misconstrued and that he was speaking about sex education. Yadav elaborated, "Let me tell you something. It is wrong if it is misinterpreted."

"The CM's words were on sex education. When the subject of sex education is brought up, people become apprehensive. This is now covered in school. Biology and science are taught in schools. He stated what should be done practically to halt population growth. This should not be interpreted incorrectly. It should be used for sex education," Tejashwi Yadav stated.
