Digital Desk: Uddhav Thackeray, the former chief minister of Maharashtra, has come under heavy fire from the BJP for allegedly permitting a terrorist who had been convicted of crimes to be glorified. Leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, including Uddhav Thackeray, Rahul Gandhi, and Sharad Pawar, were urged to apologise by BJP MLA Ram Kadam. The LED lighting over Memon's grave has now been taken down. To learn more, watch the video below.

According to Maharashtra BJP chairman Bawankule, "Mr. Thackeray had compromised with Hindutva to protect his position as Chief Minister," and "the embellishment of 1993 Mumbai bombings convicts' graves is one of several examples" that revealed this.

According to Maharashtra BJP chairman Bawankule, "Mr. Thackeray had compromised with Hindutva to protect his position as Chief Minister," and "the embellishment of 1993 Mumbai bombings convicts' graves is one of several examples" that revealed this.

On September 8, 2022, Chandrashekhar K. Bawankule, the head of the Maharashtra BJP, accused former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray of embellishing Yakub Memon's tomb, a convict in the 1993 Mumbai serial explosions, and sought an unequivocal apology from the latter.

In the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, the terrorist's tomb was decorated. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government assisted in the grave's beautifying because Mr. Thackeray (the author) had no patience for the average person. This is just one of several cases that showed Mr. Thackeray had made deals with Hindutva in order to preserve his position as Chief Minister, according to Mr. Bawankule.

“They did not have time to socialise at COVID, but they did support the beautification of Memon's cemetery. This behaviour has embarrassed the entire State and nation, he declared. According to the State BJP president, Mr. Thackeray needs to explain why he made a deal with Hindu nationalism. It is also highly improbable that as Chief Minister, he was unaware of the situation. "I'm certain the intelligence sleuths must have briefed Mr. Thackeray about this incident. He made revisions to his Hindutva in order to keep his job, the speaker said, adding that the former chief minister should apologise to Maharashtra for allowing the decoration of a terrorist's grave.

Additionally, Mr. Bawankule asked the chief minister and deputy chief minister to launch an investigation and file charges against anyone who supported or assisted in the decoration of Memon's tomb. He proclaimed, "They must be punished." White marble and LED lights were used to accentuate the burial at Bada Kabarastan in these Marine Lines. However, cemetery staff maintained that Shad-e-Baraat saw illumination across the entire cemetery.

On Wednesday night, BJP MLA Ram Kadam tweeted, "Udhav Thackeray was the Chief Minister," along with images of the burial. The grave of infamous terrorist Yakub Memon, who carried out the 1993 Mumbai bombing under Pakistan's direction, changed from a grave to a grave during that time. This is their patriotism and love for Mumbai, right? Udhav Thackeray, Rahul Gandhi, and Sharad Pawar offer their condolences to the Mumbai residents.
