Digital Desk: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday announced election in-charges for four states—Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana—where elections would be conducted later this year.

The announcement comes just three days after the BJP named new state chiefs for Punjab, Telangana, Jharkhand, and Andhra Pradesh ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

While Pralhad Joshi has been named as the BJP's Rajasthan in-charge, former Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has been named as the co-incharge.

For Chhattisgarh, veteran leader and Rajya Sabha member Om Mathur is the election-in-charge, while Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is the co-incharge.

In Telangana, Rajya Sabha member and senior BJP leader Prakash Javdekar is the election in-charge, with Sunil Bansal as the co-in-charge.

In Madhya Pradesh, Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav is in charge of the election, and Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is the co-in charge.

On Tuesday, July 4, the BJP named G Kishan Reddy, Sunil Jakhar, Babulal Marandi, and D Purandeswari as presidents of Telangana, Punjab, Jharkhand, and Andhra Pradesh, respectively.

In Punjab, Jakhar replaces Ashwani Sharma, and in Jharkhand, Marandi replaces Deepak Prakash. In Telangana, Reddy replaces Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
