Both of the accused have admitted that Santanu was involved in collecting lakhs of rupees from job seekers under the name of offering them government jobs...

Digital Desk: BJP leader and vice chairman of the Assam Football Association Santanu Puzari's name surfaced in the cash-for-job scam along with his involvement in circulating Anurag Chaliha and Indrani's intimate photo on social media platforms. This is a significant development in the case of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha Secretary Indrani Tahbildar's death.

Accused Diban Deka and Anurag Chaliha reportedly referred to him by name when being questioned by police on Saturday.

Additionally, it has come to light that Santanu, a ticket seeker for the Jorhat Lok Sabha seat, visited Jorhat two days before Indrani's death with Diban and Anurag.

Diban was the one who afterward provided Santanu Puzari with the private pictures of Indrani and Anurag.

Both of the accused have admitted that Santanu was involved in collecting lakhs of rupees from job seekers under the name of offering them government jobs during the police interrogation.

In the meantime, on Saturday, Chandmari police took testimony from four victims of the "cash for job" fraud at the court.

On the other hand, 40 admit cards were recently found at the home of Aseem Chakraborty, while throughout the course of the inquiry, the police discovered approximately 50 admit cards at Anurag's apartment.

Following the recoveries, the police have compiled a lengthy list of applicants who have allegedly been defrauded under the pretence of jobs.

Many candidates from the Nalbari and Jorhat districts are included on the list. In addition, 12 applicants from Guwahati are found on the list.

Sources claim that 25 applicants from the Nalbari district have provided testimony that the police have so far approved.
