Digital Desk: The BJP, which is in power in Gujarat for over 25 years, had spent over 209 crore in the 2022 state assembly polls, reports stated to the Election Commission by the BJP.
The poll panel released the expense report to the public on Thursday.
The party reported on July 15 that it had spent a total of 209.97 crore on general party promotion and candidate funding for the elections in Gujarat.
In a resounding victory in December of last year, the BJP took back control of Gujarat.
The party spent over 15 crores on travel expenses, including the use of aircraft and helicopters, and approximately 41 crores on candidates contesting the polls.
It spent 160.62 crores on general party propaganda.
