Narayanpur: The police authorities of Lakhimpur arrested two alleged opium dealers on August 22.

As per sources, police arrested the dealers with a large portion of opium from Major Chapori, Narayanpur.

Both of the accused were recognized as Mani Kumar Deori and Civil Deori.

The duo is alleged to be associated with the illegal selling of opium for a long term, sources stated. Sources further stated that one of the involved, Civil Deori is a regional level BJP worker.

Police authorities continued the inquiry and claimed some other persons included in the racket would likewise be caught soon.
