Digital Desk: In a recent development, Sarupathar police arrested Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha Secretary Indrani Tahbildar's murder accused Abhimanyu Das.
Abhimanyu Das allegedly surfaced Indrani’s objectionable photo on social media, which went viral. The incident was allegedly the reason Indrani chose to end her life by suicide. The main accused, Abhimanyu, had been hiding from the police since the incident. According to the report, the accused has changed his appearance.

The police had been unable to locate the main accused ever since. However, police were investigating a separate case related to a gunfire incident in Digboi, and the case led to the main accused, Abhimanyu, of the murder case of the former Kishan Morcha secretary.
Abhimanyu was searching for liquor at night when the situation escalated in a Dhaba in Digboi, and the accused fired his gun. When police became aware of the incident, they arrested the man who fired the gun, who was later identified as the main accused in another case related to Indrani Tahbildar’s suicide.
