Digital Desk: The high-profile legal battle involving Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, has been resolved after both parties reached a settlement just two weeks before jury selection was set to begin.

Details of the settlement agreement have not been disclosed.

Lively had filed a complaint alleging that Baldoni sexually harassed her during the filming of ‘It Ends With Us’, in which they co-starred and which Baldoni directed. She further alleged that Baldoni orchestrated a smear campaign in retaliation for her speaking out about the alleged misconduct. Baldoni denied all allegations.

Last month, a federal judge dismissed ten of the thirteen claims in Lively’s lawsuit, including those related to sexual harassment and defamation, significantly narrowing the case. Some claims were dismissed on legal grounds, including the classification of Lively as an independent contractor rather than an employee.

The remaining claims, retaliation, aiding and abetting retaliation, and breach of contract—were not directed at Baldoni personally but at Wayfarer Studios, the film’s associated LLC, and a public relations firm retained by his team.

The trial, which had been scheduled to begin on  18th May  with jury selection, was expected to conclude a year-long legal dispute that had drawn significant public attention.
