The box office performance of Ayan Mukerji's movie has been good thus far. The Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt movie appears to be the one to end Bollywood's curse.

Digital Desk: Brahmastra, the most-awaited Hindi film of the year starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was released this Friday, and it appears that the hype around the film paid off. According to predictions, the picture is off to a solid start at the box office.

As per Bollywood Hungama, the film earned between Rs. 36.50 and Rs. 38.50 crores on its first day in the domestic market, making it the biggest non-holiday release. According to the trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com, Brahmastra grossed roughly Rs 35-36 crore in India.

Karan Johar, the film's producer, said on Instagram that the film grossed Rs 75 crore worldwide on its first day. He stated, “Humbled… Grateful…but yet can’t control my excitement! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Brahmastra has a pretty good handle on it right now, as 2022 has been a tough year for Bollywood at the box office. Other than Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and The Kashmir Files, no other film has set the cash registers roaring.

The movie, which cost Rs 410 crore to produce, is the most expensive production ever in Hindi cinema. This record was previously held by YRF's Thugs of Hindostan, which cost about Rs 310 crore to shoot.
