Shalini Talwar, Honey Singh's wife, filed for divorce in 2021 after charging the singer with domestic abuse.

Digital Desk: Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar have made an official finalized decision of getting divorced. Honey is also said to have paid Rs 1 crore in alimony as part of the divorce settlement.

Shalini accused Honey and his family of psychological and emotional abuse in 2021. She also accused him of domestic abuse and claimed to have evidence to back up her claim in court.

In a statement following the accusations, Honey Singh referred to them as "false and vicious." The artist had said in a lengthy statement, "I have never issued a public statement or press note in the past despite being treated to harsh criticism for my lyrics, speculation on my health, & poor media coverage in general. I don't think it would be wise to keep quiet this time, though, as some of the accusations have been made against my parents and younger sister, who have supported me through some extremely challenging times and who are a significant part of my world. The accusations are malicious and defamatory in nature." Honey Singh added.

I have worked with musicians and artists around the nation for more than 15 years, he continued, adding that I am affiliated with the industry. Everyone is aware of my marriage to my wife, who has attended all of my shoots, events, and meetings with me for more than ten years and has become an essential member of my team. I vehemently deny each and every accusation, but I won't say anything more because the case is still pending before the court of law.
