Guwahati: Amid fears of rising Covid cases in the country triggered by the advent of Omicron variant, Assam too is witnessing rise in the number of Covid cases, with many prominent personalities and dignitaries testing positive for the virus. In the latest development, Assam Sahitya Sabha President Kuladhar Saikia has tested positive for Covid-19.
He was not keeping well for some time and has reportedly quarantined after showing mild symptoms.
