Maligaon: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently held the chief technical officer (CTO) of the power department, Ranjit Kumar Bora, in a bribery case.

As per sources, Kumar had demanded Rs 2:50 crores as a bribe from an organization in the name of providing jobs in the power department.

CBI has caught the chief technical officer red-handed while taking Rs. 50 Lakhs as advance from the organization. Moreover, CBI has arrested the organization member who came to give the advance amount to CTO,Ranjit Kumar Bora.

Sources have stated that Ranjit Kumar Bora took a bribe in his Maligaon office, where he was caught red-handed by the CBI officials. The investigation regarding the case is underway.
