The time between the second vaccine shot and the precaution dose is currently nine months...

Digital Desk: The central government has planned to shorten the time between the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and the booster shot for anyone travelling overseas to 90 days or three months, according to reports.

The time between the second vaccine shot and the precaution dose is currently nine months.

According to previous reports, the government is planning to cut the time between the second dose and the preventive shot from nine to six months.

The precaution dosage is available to anyone above the age of 18 who has waited nine months after receiving the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

From January 10, India began giving vaccine precaution doses to healthcare and frontline workers, as well as individuals aged 60 and older with comorbidities.

The administration abolished the comorbidity provision in March, making the precaution dose available to everyone over 60.

On April 10, India began delivering Covid-19 vaccine precaution doses to all adults over the age of 18 at private vaccination centres.
