Digital Desk: An accident occurred at the under-construction flyover in Silpukhuri, Guwahati, when three workers suffered electric shocks while lifting iron rods .The rods made contact with an electric wire, which was of high voltage, therefore, resulting in a sudden short circuit.
One of the workers was seriously wounded and is currently in critical condition, identified as Zayed Khan. The other two injured laborers include Jamal Uddin and Chalam Ali. The three of them are hail from Mandira in Barpeta district.
The injured were immediately rushed to GMCH for treatment. Authorities are investigating the incident and safety measures at the construction site.
